What is this?
NavMarker is a simple location sharing website where you put the best things on a map for others to see. We're not talking ho-hum Wikipedia types of things. That has been done to death. We're looking for the types of locations that might make somebody call a friend over to their screen and say "Check this out!"

A short message combined with a location is a Marker. Categorize it, then tag it with some keywords so that other people can find it more easily. You can share them with your Friends, your Neighborhood, your City, and the Planet. Basically, anybody that cruises by with a GPS phone or a computer.

How do I play?
Click that Register button to the right, over there. Fill out some info. And you're in.

How do I change my email address?
Sign in. Go to the My Profile page. You may have to validate a new email address so that we know where to send correspondences from Nigerian diplomats who need help getting money from a safe deposit box, or notifications that you won the U.K. Lottery, or so that the government can track you when you don't have your aluminum hat on.

Totally kidding. Your email is safe with NavMarker. But keep your aluminum hat on at all times! If you don't, they will read your thoughts.

How do I change my password?
Sign in. Go to the My Profile page. Pick something clever. More clever than the words password, or secret please. Hackers test those first you know.

I forgot my password.
Click the Sign In link in the menu. Then click the Forgot your Password? link. Enter your Username. Then we'll email a temporary, and highly illegible password to you. Once you sign in with the temporary password (probably by pasting it since like we said, it's highly illegible), you can change it to something more easily memorable.

The pages look weird.
All web browsers interpret the magic behind them slightly differently. I have tried to accommodate as many as I could, but sometimes you just gotta cross your fingers and launch.

How do I enter a location?
There are many ways. I would list them here, but there are many depending on your device. Plus, this site is under constant construction, so if I make changes I don't want to keep updating this page. If you really can't find a way, perhaps Contact NavMarker so we can steer you in the right direction.
